Susan joined The Beacon Home Team in 2015 as the Director of Operations before transitioning into the role of Listing Specialist. Clients are drawn to her warmth and genuine caring approach as well as her enthusiasm and desire to exceed expectations. She loves connecting with clients on a personal level. She says, “creating a personalized client experience may be the most important part of what we do” because in that experience trust is developed, and that makes the home buying or selling experience that much more enjoyable and meaningful for both the client and the team. “We’re in this with them,” and that’s what we want our clients to feel throughout the process.
Susan grew up in Baltimore and still lives in her childhood family home. Her love for architecture and design started as a small child designing blueprints alongside her father who was the owner of a local home remodeling business. Her educational background includes degrees in Theater and Fitness & Nutritional Sciences, certifications/licenses in Medical Aesthetics, Energy Therapy, Reflexology among other naturopathic modalities.
Susan has a passion for people and spends a great deal of time volunteering and advocating various organizations and causes including Autism awareness, Baltimore Humane Society, Patapsco Heritage Greenway, Catonsville Women’s Giving Circle, and the Catonsville Tree Canopy Project. She writes music on the piano and guitar and can be heard on various albums for local bands playing or singing background vocals. She’s currently working on writing her fifth children’s book; the first of a series based on her experiences working in a title 1 elementary school in Baltimore City from which she plans to create a non-profit for literacy. She enjoys being outdoors in nature, writing and playing music, traveling, spending time with family, friends and her fur baby, Chaco The Wonder Dog.
